My diet has very little Potassium in it but the doc told me that it may be the Spironolactane that is elevating. I had been eating a small container of potato ships between lunch and dinner and have gone over to Snyders pretzels which has 0 Potassium but doe have some Sodium in but very small amount; 60 mg for 10 pretzels. I have also gone over to Almond Milk and Rice Crispies instead of low fat milk and Cheerios. Very little potatoes in my life. So, with that said, I am looking forward to a better report in May.
Thank you for sharing with me. Charles aka brotherchuckles80

@brotherchuckles80 I look forward to hearing from you after your next appointment, then!

As kidney disease patients, keeping control over our diet is one of the best ways we have to have a say in how our health goes! We learn to read labels, sometimes lamenting foods we need to cut back on or quit. We find out a lot about how we view food, either as comfort or nutrition.
Good for you on finding a substitute for those potato chips!
