That sucks. How long have you been fighting with the ulcer? I noticed you said you are an active person and don’t sit very much. Could your prolonged standing upright be contributing to a degree to the non-healing? I’m only shooting from the hip in this from my years of experience as a nurse. I know I wouldn’t want to have to sit for an extended period no more than you. Maybe something will stick to the wall one day. Good luck.

Hi there,
I have been fighting this for almost 2 and half years now.
There for a long time I would put my foot in to a work boot and go on with my business.
Then every other week I would go back to the wound clinic and they would work on my toe.
The Doctor would say I think this is more of a rubbing problem, he would give me a special shoe and when they would wrap my foot they do a off loading pad underneath my foot so no pressure on my toe. So about 3 months ago I changed my routine and started wearing a brace that won’t let any pressure on the toe. It is helping.

But I need to back up here.
About a 2 and half years ago they would cast my foot
I would go in once a week and they would cut the cast off dress the wound and put one more cast on.
I did this for about 3-4 months the wound would close and I graduated from the wound clinic.
Then it would take about 3 months and it would open back up.
