Hearing Aid brands: anyone tried Horizon IX hearing aids?

I tried the Horizon hearing aid in 2022 and it just wasn’t right for me. Went on to Signia, which worked better. My audiologist also says they are identical, but for me they were not. But I don’t know if my experience is helpful to you because every ear is unique. All you can do is give them a try. If you’re going to a legit practitioner (NOT Costco, grrr) you should have several weeks to sort out how well the instrument is serving. I went back several times for adjustments to the Horizon but I was getting a ton of feedback in my ears and she just couldn’t fix it. The “identical” Signia didn’t produce such heavy feedback. Dunno why. Ultimately I wound up getting hard plastic custom ear molds instead of the soft plastic domes, which kept shifting around in my ears. The shifting of the domes wasn’t producing feedback but did distribute the sound unevenly into
my ear canals, and I was constantly fiddling with them. That upgrade to custom cost $150 more but greatly improved the function of the instrument and thus my hearing.
