I don't know if it has any effect on the number of replies I get, but Sadie is my service dog, for psychiatric assistance. She's as important to me as most people are, keeping me from falling or jumping into the dark depression hole. Animals play a big role in people's lives in many ways, whether as a companion, an emotional support or a trained service animal. Do you have a pet who helps you in some way? Just having one close by means a lot to millions of people.

Jim

@jimhd @xpax You're very right, Jim, about how animals can play such a major role in our mental health! My cat is very intuitive, and knows just how to comfort me when she senses my discomfort from mental pressures. As someone formally diagnosed late in life [at age 60] with Aspergers, there have been some real rocky days. Acknowledging the role they play is important.

Major depression is nothing to be taken lightly, and how we may react to it can change on any given day. @xpax I am glad you said something, and pleased to see the responses posted to support you! Are you feeling better today?
