That's what I have been going through too. I finally just was able to see a different hip surgeon in a totally different office because my other one wasn't helping me at all. Then new one is doing an MRI, he did and X-ray and the fracture that happened in surgery healed, but he said there is a tendon in the front that can get very angry when they do a replacement. Best case is he will order a steroid injection done by a radiologist because it has to be done with an ultrasound so that they get it in the right spot. And worse case they go back in and cut the tendon. The leg muscles will take over to lift my leg but the tendon won't work anymore and the pain will be gone.

wow, hat sounds scary!! the first 3 months I had to lift my leg into the car and out but I finally got past that and not this problem. If its not one thing its another right? God bless and keep me posted if you get the tendon cut I would probobly do it if it would help!

I THR on 05/2021 left hip, as time went by I to had severe pain in my groin while sitting in a prone position especially when I stood up. I can’t stand on my left leg to long either. I had a mri and the results where iliopsoas bursitis I guess it’s pretty common with people that had total hip replacement. I had several cortisone injections also but they didn’t help much. I had several doctors tell me they would recommend to cut it to release the tendon but they all said it’s no guarantee it will work , therefore I do not think I’m going to risk it as will also weaken my hip so it’s PT and a walking cane for me , in time I hope it gets better , thank you all for reading this God Bless
