Radio frequency ablation

Has anyone here tried radio frequency ablation for neuropathy? If so, is it working, and where would I receive treatment?

Has anyone been diagnosed with Mortons Neuroma? I have this condition is both feet. Confirmed by ultrasound guided needle injection of a steroid into the neuroma. The size is 7mm in both feet. The pain and numbness I feel on a daily basis is affection my quality of life to the point where is wakes me up at night. I have researched this condition on line. Ablation is recommended via cryotheraphy.

Hi. I have them done at my Pain Management Center; Southern California Orthopedic Institute. In addition to the scs that I have in my Lumbar, I have received ablations in my Thorax and my Cervix. I suggest that you look for a good pain management group in your area. A Neurologist may have a recommendation for you. God bless you. Charles

Hi, I have neuropathy in my feet (also Sciatica) and I'm considering a SCS. Somebody from California, maybe you in another thread, left a phone number to discuss the SCS. I am ready to discuss this. If not you, I hope the Californian who posted the phone number responds. He was a gardener and was able to continue after the SCS. Encouraging.

Has anyone had one w little or no results... or even worse? I have been suffering from arachnoiditis for 3 years after a botched epidural and spinal fluid leak that left me unable to walk w bladder and bowl issues for months. I Just had the ablation 2 days ago and am in terrible/worse pain. I can't sit and I can only stand w assistance. Lying down isn't even helpful... calling Dr. tomorrow, but not sure they can assist... So frustrated!

I have had SA (spinal arachnoiditis) for 6 years due to a Medtronic intrathecal pain/baclofen pump. I haven’t had relief or even been able to find a doctor well versed in this condition. I have certainly been turned off to procedures. The only real treatment is a new calcium type channel blocker placed directly into the spinal column. This requires a intrathecal catheter, the very same instrumentation that caused all my problems to start with!!

Mayo refused my request for an appointment, saying “I’d had all the requisite testing “, completely blowing off the importance of a good doctor’s evaluation of the tests. Since most of the reimbursement comes from testing I have already had, it makes me wonder if mayo is refusing me on the basis of poor reimbursement.

I hope by now you are feeling better. My dr told me I may have more pain for a few days because of the bruised tissues and to rest a lot. I did and by the second week I was fine and the RFA lasted for about 8 months. I am trying to get another scheduled.
