Share results of PRP knee injection therapy.

My allergies disqualify me from any type of knee replacement device.
My next step is PRP injection therapy, which is expensive and Medicare doesn't cover the cost at all. If you have had this treatment I would appreciate your results- good or bad.

If you can afford it PRP definitely worth trying. I had a two years ago when I was 68 my right knee which had one surgery I have arthritis in both knees my left knee has had three surgeries including a torn ACL and is bone on bone. The PRP injections helped my right knee immensely my left knee not so much. So in October I had a new procedure done MFAT. They liposuction fat and then inject that into your knee. Also out-of-pocket more expensive than PRP but it has been a godsend. Not perfect I am 70 but my whole objective was to avoid any replacement and I’m good for now. The problem with the MFAT Is that it is new and there are no long-term results I am very encouraged and I am enjoying Pickleball

I have bone on bone and suffer untold agony. What state did you have this done? Worth a try!

No way!! I’ve paid for it three times out of pocket. That is good to know if I should ever do it again. I’d call and doublecheck, but I doubt if it matters what state one lives in

i found that P/T helped along with the PRP. Strengthening the muscles seems to help. When i slack off i notice more pain.

I did PRP on both of my knees two years ago it did not help my left knee but did wonders for my right in October I had a new procedure done it’s called MFAT this is where they liposuction some fat clean it up and then inject that into the joint it has done wonders for my left knee. I am very religious with my exercises and stretches and have found the book Built From Broken Very instrumental in setting up my program. Unfortunately this is out of pocket and for one knee it was $3500. The other disadvantage is there are no long-term results so I’ll let you know in a year if it was worth it right now I’m headed to Pickleball
