Hi Stacibw,

There are a few doctors that stand out in the field that I follow named Dr. John Bilezikian and Dr. Michael McClung. You will see their names on a lot of clinical trials and studies on osteoporosis. Both of these doctors train other doctors from around the world. Dr. McClung presented at the 2023 World Congress of Osteoporosis and is scheduled to present at this months 2024 World Congress of Osteoporosis.

While neither have a YouTube channel, they do have some good content on YouTube. The best overall training I have seen is a 4 part, 6 hour training of Dr. Bilezikian training other doctors. It's from 2018 but it covers all of the current medications. The first part is here https://youtu.be/vnOQsYYalyQ?si=a3IuGaQ34IjfkWvt .

That said, I attended trainings from both the 2023 World Congress of Osteoporosis as well as the 2023 9th Central European Congress of Osteoporosis and put together a one hour training from what I learned. While I'm not a doctor, I'm an engineer and a researcher that trained others on technical information for a living. I think you will find yourself well informed to talk to your doctor after watching it https://youtu.be/Z4uXAsnhSaA . Please let me know what you think if you watch it.

Good luck!
Mike

Mike. Thank you for making that very informative YouTube video. I LOVED it. It was easy to understand and it helped me realize that I have many choices, depending on the reasons for my osteoporosis. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. My imagination had made me feel there is no hope and my bones would disintegrate and my life would be full of fractures and pain, and not at all a life I want. I am a very active person and have been so afraid my life as I know it, and enjoy, would be over. I have GREAT HOPE now. I have read so many books and looked at so many YouTube videos. You have certainly done your research. Thank you for sharing it!

Do you happen to have a YouTube of your exercise routine?

With appreciation,

Karen
