The one I have is based on pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF). I wear it three hours a day minimum. It's supposed to promote healing at the fracture site. I cannot feel it. It doesn't shake my foot. The stimulator prescribed to me is made by Orthofix.

Thanks so much @mev123. This device looks interesting and I sure hope that it helps your metatarsal heal. I will ask my doctor about it at the next appointment if my metatarsal still has not healed.
