Hello. I have severe osteoporosis but very active. About 6 months ago my feet and ankles started hurting. My rheumatologist ordered X-rays which showed minor arthritis. She then ordered MRI’s which showed minor narrowing between the joints on both ankles and degeneration on both feet in the hind and mid-section. I’m in physical therapy in hopes of some relief. I play pickleball, lift weights/bands, cardio and bone loading exercises but make sure I’m wearing supportive shoes. Some days no pain, some days more. I am on Tymlos daily injections since June of 22 and wondered if it was a side effect from thaw meds. Others on this med have complained of foot pain but doc and drug company says no evidence of that. I’ll keep doing what I do, till I can’t. Hope you find relief, it’s a bit disheartening. Rose 🌹

@dooshie, I am also on Tymlos, but only 40mcg. I broke my left foot 2nd metatarsal 8 weeks ago while on 20mg, then slowly increased to 40mcg. I am not healing when I should be. I went to the podiatrist this morning and he wants me to wear the boot for another 2 weeks. It is driving me crazy not to be able to do anything weight bearing for my bones. I also have arthritis in my foot. I wonder if the Tymlos is making my metatarsal weaker because it is mostly cortical bone. I have learned from others posting on this website that the medicine is meant to help with trabecular bones especially the spine. There is some mention in the literature that PTH, the hormone that Tymlos increases, can make cortical bone weaker.
