Hello, I hear you! I have now, 7 months post hip replacement, bad thigh pain, having to rub or squeeze it to inflict pain, to make it feel a bit better, but out of the operation my thigh was excruciating, even down around top of my knee. My thigh was so swollen I thought it would explode with flesh everywhere. My lower leg varicose veins swelled like never before. My surgeon ... very dismissive, over and over. Just changed to a new Orth surgeon, sent for a steroid shot but found fluid that needed culturing. My only symptom of possible infection, is hip and groin pain on certain movements. Yes, need to keep my knees together. Old fashioned contraceptive style. Waiting on the culture result, and reading your post about the cement and reduced ability to function I am really stressed for the outcome. I have just joined this group and you all sound so damaged, and brave to keep trying over and over.

Did they check for a fractured femur? I’ve had 4 different people tell me they had the same exact pain I have it was all from a fractured femur during surgery
