Penn, I know the text was auto “corrected” erroneously and you meant anesthesia. I would question anyone who took the word of an LPN over your prescribing physician and need for a second opinion, based on your health history and symptoms. I know the LPN can’t be prescribing your current medication, so I think you need to get that doctor involved and, if need be a legal team or at least the patient advocacy department at the facility that your prescribing physician.
We had to deal with a home health nurse that had my mother in law taking a handful of pills at the same time as her thyroid medication and with food(!) and who rearranged her pill schedule without notifying the prescribing MD, to have her taking meds that were dangerous due to interactions if taken together, despite the MD’s and bottle instructions for use. I researched all of her medications when I began caring for her and when I found the issues, the LPN started lying about me to her manager to try to save her job, but the MD confirmed my concerns were justified and they removed the LPN from the my MIL’s health service rotation. They sent out a NP to review the medication schedule.
Be your own best advocate!
God Bless and Good Luck!
