@hobbity

Hi all , i too suffer from stiff and painful neck issues . I'm assuming its arthritis since i have it in other body parts . My neck gets so sore after even a short time turning to speak to someone . Also the ear pain and nightly sore side of face and jaw area when sleeping on it . It wakes me up and i have to switch sides . I get pain up the back of my head when reading in bed as well as watching tv too long or using my devices . So far extra strength tylenol has been working for me . Going for a bone density scan next month .

@hobbity An evaluation with a physical therapist may help figure out the issues. Spine problems can cause muscle spasms that shift the spine and jaw, and all of that is tied to neck and shoulder muscles. I have had issues like this. I am a cervical spine surgery patient and have a condition called thoracic outlet syndrome. When my jaw gets tight and unbalanced, it does cause facial pain by compressing a nerve. Talk to your doctor too. Physical therapy may be able to help.
