Pubic aponeurosis injury

Does anyone have experience with injury to the aponeurotic plate of the pelvis? I suffer from this very difficult to localized chronic pain for years, and while it feels vaguely coming from inside the groin, I can never tell exactly where it is. Recently done an MRI and they found a Partial tear at the fibrocartilage of the left aponeurotic plate. I tried to search online but not much information comes out, it seems like I`m dealing with a rather rare type of injury. Can someone relate to this?

Hello @thutmosechen. You are right in that a search for this particular tear does not yield much for results. It is hard to determine whether this is a rare injury, or just fancier terminology for a groin tear.

It may help other members find your discussion if you could shed a bit more light on your finding and test results. Did your provider offer an explanation or possible treatment for this particular tear? Did they mention that it was a rare injury, or did anything in particular bring it on?

Hi Justin, the doctor who sent me for the MRI is a general surgeon and she simply said it is a groin injury but it does not require surgery. she`s sending me to a sports medicine doctor for follow ups. She did not explain whether this is a rare injury or not.
