No. This was last June and the NP insisted that Prolia was the only answer for someone with arrythmia and that any other choices would also cause blood clots and strokes. ($5,000 per shot without insurance) and you can never stop taking it. She would put me on Prolia forever.

I had read on the Inspire site of a woman who was 52 and did not get her Prolia infusion on time and then went on to have multiple rib fractures and a total nightmare situation.

I walked out of there and told her no. I felt like I was dealing with someone promoting Prolia and pharmaceuticals....

I realize that I have to address this soon. Have dealt with 2 other health issues in this time span.

As I wrote, I have atrial fibrillation (paroxysmal) with heart rate up to 200, and all my docs want me on Reclast (after Tymlos in my case). Neither of my endocrinologists use Prolia if they can help it because it is so risky when you stop. I hope you find a second opinion. The issue of arrhythmia with Reclast has been disproven, I was told. Also you can have IV hydration, a slow infusion and do a lower "test dose."
