@billymac65 I'm wondering if you could share your experience with tapering off lorazepam with new Connect member @911489348. @lakelifelady do you have any thoughts?

Well, I have not done so yet....but have Remeron prescribed for anxiety and depression. Would just take 1mg Lorazepam
In morning and the Remeron at bedtime. We will see how that works. I am greatly sensitive to meds, so I tend to be wary of anything new.

I want to taper off safely.... from lorazapam. Ive taken it for a two yrs now after my husband left suddenly,. sever anxiety, Dr calls it separation anxiety and Im a mess in the morning. I go to gym few times a week, helps but it comes back, Im ok in the late evening, calm, but at 3am, it strikes again. I want off this stuff, it helps, me sleep, but the withdrawals scare me. but I am so afraid of the withdrawals. Help.... Recently Dr put me on Zoloft at 100, had to go back down, just dont feel right on that. and it doesn't help. Why dont these drs tell us about the withdrawals and weaning off,
