I once did a partial dose of Forteo using my daughter's insulin syringes. I shot the full dose into a sterile plastic medicine cup. Then I drew up the whole dose in the insulin syringe, which has markings to measure the whole. Then I emptied the syringe and drew up 10% of the full dose and injected it. I still had a tough time with it, not sure why. My doctor was amused by this experiment and thankfully thought it showed commitment 🙂 Unfortunately this was 10 years ago and it took another 7 years to get on Tymlos. Most people do fine on Forteo without playing scientist!
