Your white count is sky high? Have the docs commented on that?

So I offer a maybe useful parallel for a gut check. .
A few years ago my son had an artificial disc put into his cervixal spine. Seemed to be going ok and then the next thing I knew he was in the hospital with bad infection and so much strong antibiotics he was having allergic reactions - couldn’t swallow effectively because throat was closing and his lips and fingers started to swell. They took him into surgery to potentially take everything apart - and learned that the artificial disc was coated with infection. And because it had no blood supply, we could have given him bigger and badder antibiotics until the world ended and it wouldn’t have done a thing. SO… they washed it with antiseptic and some kind of synthetic scrubber. And rinsed and rinsed and rinsed. They closed him up and waited. The infection on soft tissue started responding to the antibiotics. He went home with a port to infuse the antibiotics for a month. But he lived to tell the tale.

Just wondering if the ball in your new hip joint could be a culprit?
