mayblin, appreciate your reply. What salty food did you eat? Did you add salt to your water?
Was salt spread throughout the day or just before injection?

@leeosteo if your blood pressure isn't low, you don't need salt. You can get a blood pressure cuff to see what is happening with bp after you inject the med.

Even without a med, my bp can be 94 systolic so bp was an issue for me with Tymlos. But if someone has high bp, they should probably avoid salt!

Talk to your doc about this. My endo and nephrologist both urged me to increase salt and hydration. This recommendation came from doctors for me but it would be good to check your bp and then check with a doctor.

leeosteo, i added salt to water (i have insulin resistance and can’t eat a lot of salty snacks), mostly when i feel very tired and bp reading confirmed low bp. My recollection is maybe 1-2 times per day during that period of time.

windyshores summed up really well what to look out for and to do.

Lying down helps i think it makes sure the brain gets enough blood. That’s probably why injection before bedtime maybe a good idea to start forteo.

Last night I ate salt before injecting Forteo.

In the middle of the night the dog needed to go out, I was surprised because I could hardly navigate and even had trouble talking.

I have never experienced anything like this since I started Forteo in December.

This morning I feel okay.

My blood pressure was 111/87.

Thanks for all your help.
