I have experienced this as well. Sometimes the whole body jumps off the bed! Mine were never diagnosed and have abated somewhat over the years.
I am a very healthy 54 year old with an onset of all over twitching a few weeks ago. Seemed to coincide with some health anxiety. No other symptoms at this time. Of course Google is giving me worst case scenario which is absolutely terrifying and consuming me 24/7. I can’t see a neurologist until June. Have even thought of going to the ER with hope of getting in sooner. My doctor diagnosed them as benign fasiculations.
Any input on this disorder?
This is definitely getting the best of me thinking of the what-ifs.
@steige, you're asking good questions about body twitching and benign fasciculation. I've moved your posts to this related discussion about BFS where you can read the experiences of many members and connect with them easily:

Did your doctor recommend next steps or suggest coping strategies?
Multiple, body-wide fasciculations can be very alarming. I do understand. You said your primary said you have benign fasciculation disorder, right? Do you think you’ll feel more comfortable after seeing the neurologist? I developed the twitches right before my neurologist appointment, as I was going for something else. He ordered lab tests, MRI and EMG. They ruled out neurological disorders like Parkinson’s, MS and ALS. After that, my fasciculations left. Since that time, I’ve read about many people who have them. Before my experience, I don’t I ever read much about them at all. I hope yours resolve soon. It can be quite stressful.
