Balderdash. I am a redhead and I hear this kind of claim frequently - our pain fibers are less or more resistant to pain, we are more susceptible to skin cancer, we are more intelligent, we are less intelligent, more of us are left handed than the general population.
Show me credible research or consider it entertainment.

As a redhead, I think a lot of the claims are balderdash as well. However, when working in X-ray, we had the crash cart close by with redheads (also fair skinned, freckled blonds), because they so frequently had allergic reactions (often severe) to the contrast. Unfortunately I didn’t escape the statistic.
