Could I have cancer?

30F with lung or other cancer symptoms?

I’m a 30 year old female. I’ve vaped for the last 2 years but have never smoked cigarettes.

Yesterday I woke up with excruciating sharp chest pain in the left side. It felt like my heart so I immediately went to the ER. They did a full EKG and blood work, I was also sent for a chest x-ray.

Everything came back completely fine, however now I’m having the sharp pain in both my chest and my left upper back (feels like it’s under my shoulder blade close to my spine).

Movement doesn’t help, pain killers have not helped, and I’ve gone for a massage which did nothing.

The pain starts in the afternoon and gets worse at night and when laying down.

I do also struggle with anxiety and am 6 months post partum. I only hold baby on left side, but again the pain does not seem muscle related as I did not sustain an injury, range of motion doesn’t affect it and painkillers do not help.

I’m now panicking that I have lung cancer because googling says sharp pain in these spots could be cancer. Please help I am so anxious and my doctor will not request any additional tests since I’ve done them all!

Should I be pushing for cancer testing?

Should I push for lymphoma testing?

For the last 3 months I’ve been dealing with the following symptoms:
- Rash on my ankle that won’t go away with creams, it is extremely itchy and scaly/red
- Chest and back pain with increasing body aches (almost like with the flu)
- Swollen submandibular lymph nodes and cervical lymph nodes
- Neck pain and vomiting when drinking alcohol
- Daily fatigue

I am not sick and have not been sick since March 2023. I’ve had four EKGs, a chest x-ray, and an echocardiogram - everything came back clear.

I consistently have low end WBC counts (4.0) since back in 2016. Recently my WBC has been dropping, as well as my lymphocytes. Yesterday’s WBC was 3.7 (normal is 4-10), and lymphocytes 0.8 (normal is 1-10). I also have low iron with suspected anemia. My RBC is consistently borderline low and my neutrophils are borderline low.

My platelets are normal (fluctuating between 200-300).

My doctor seems unconcerned despite my frequent visits. She believes I have health anxiety and referred me to psychiatry. I feel so frustrated that I’m not being listened to and am wondering if I am right to be concerned?

Dont be concerned about that...these days most of the disease can be cured if they will be diagnosed soon. sometimes in the menstrual period or by the viral infection, CBC count Change and after some days it will be normal. But for your confirmation, you can visit the hematologist.

I would definitely definitely be seeking a second opinion! A hematologist was a good suggestion, perhaps Infectious Disease…. But another assessment from a different practitioner doesn’t hurt a thing… may even need a third one at a larger well-known Medical Center.
