Oh Sue,
I'm so glad to hear you have turned the corner! You made my day! And I'm sure you are feeling like a million bucks after what you went through. Dancing for 3 hours - WOW
I went on FB but could not find the Dr. Smith you are referring to? Does her group have a different name? Just thinking about kneeling gives me the shakes.... you'll have to let me know how the video works, as I love to garden as well and I have 3 grandchildren, with another on the way, so playing on the floor (back on my knees) is in my future!
So, my daughter's MIL, just had her knee replaced last Wednesday and you should see her! She's using a walker but, in a few days, will be ready to move to a cane - I'm like, really? But like you said, you can't compare yourself to other people.
My surgery date was 10/10, so I'm in month 4 - still going to PT through the end of March (1x per week). The PT's have been great and just as frustrated as me, but they're doing their best.
I am stretching and walking every day and I do have a stationary bike, which I use several times a day. And I agree with you, $100 a month is a lot of money just to ride a bike. You'd be better off just buying a cheap one on Amazon and taking it home with you when you leave -:)
You take care and continue to enjoy your release from prison. Hopefully, your weather will get warmer so you can get in the water!
Cheryl

sbanner1, apparently you are not on Medicare? When I lived in sw FL on Medicare...great gym via Optum free...also here in Maine free!
I am on Medicare. I’m on vacation and joined the gym in the resort area I staying at. I’m only here for one month.
Sue,
I completely missed this message to share email addresses. Yes, I would very much like to do that.
Wanted to touch base with you to check in an see how you are doing and if you are still dancing the nights away and also give you an update on my slow, but good progress.
My email address is cherylhofmann@att.net

90 is better. It will stop the burning . Mine did that for a while. It will improve with exercises. Stiffness seems to be something that is present in most people but most of theirs go away. Mine hasn't but I feel a little over a year on same leg and shattered my femur. So can't count that one. I'm healing. Working hard. Takes determination to go thru these replacements. Wishing you well. Hang in there. It will get better.
I had TKR 2 years ago then fell and smashed my femur on same leg 15 months after it. I've had 2 surgeries, lived in rehab a month..and neither surgery worked. Now April 18 Dr. Wants to take plate out, clean my leg out and put a rod in and do TKR over because he will make it bigger. He is not the Dr that did it at first
It was never right. I would love to hear others thoughts on this. He said I'd be a lot better off cause I'll never get any better than I am.now without the surgery. Nervous about this,of course. I hurt, can't walk long at all. And have to use a walker. My fall was may a year ago this May
Bone graft didn't take. And my leg did not heal at all. Long post. Needed to get all this out. Thank You so much
