There is some truth in what your doctor states. Not all experts would agree with him. Are you seeing an ascending aorta specialist?
In the meantime, be careful about lifting. Some say nothing over 20 lbs; others are more liberal - maybe 30 lbs. Keep your blood pressure controlled. Most patients are also on beta blockers.
Until they know the "speed" with which your aneurysm is growing, you would be smart to have a MRI angiogram every six months.
