Also pulling the blanket over me at night I have to sort of pull it with my feet then slightly lean to pull it with my hands. I don't know if that is considered bending.
No, I hadn't heard that, but I haven't talked to my back surgeon in several years, plus she has retired. I don't doubt that that is very good advice. And I've been here at my computer for several hours, which is not good.
If you’re referring to your abdomen muscles I’d say yes. These are my main core muscles supporting my bad back. I had same surgery in 1990. Jennifer is correct you should ask your doctor. Question about the personal trainer. Have you started PT post surgery and is your trainer knowledgeable as a PT in treating postop fusion patients? Lastly what were your postop orders from Doctor?

@annie1 You know who you should ask, right? And you can probably guess how I would answer. You are still healing, and need to fuse that little piece of bone(s) that was removed and reattached during the laminotomy. After that bone is solid, I'm sure you'd be able to do your normal routine.
