That's not the point...Why have they not come out with a product that Vents itself...I have been using these bags since 2002...same thing...nothing new...except the prices...

Me too, the vent did very little in the way of stopping ballooning!
If the pouch is vented, isn't there an issue with odor at a uncontrollable moment?
Good question, I always wondered the same, they say it has a charcoal filter, still not sure, and afraid to try.

Unfortunately, the vent is practically useless. The charcoal filter does work for odors.
