Keep yourself independent period- one has to be careful as a parent when they start to get older and I'm talking 80'S most people are still in the work force @ your age I was until 70+ in my humble opinion your car situation with your daughter and brands sounds more of a super convenience & savings for them - don't let anyone dictate when how and where you go you'll know yourself when not to step out in your vehicle still paying the insurance taxes & up keep?

I disagree, many people don't know when to quit driving. We had a man in our town who was in his 90's and drove through the dry cleaners window. Not everyone has all their facilities and think they can still drive when the can't.

This subject has been researched and based on what I have read I quit driving at age 88
