We all do. But at the end of the day the old saying is true, "Once an adult and twice a child."
Being part of my mommy's transition watching her at her weakest trying to convince us she was capable of taking care of herself caused me to remind her and myself that the worst lie we tell is the one we tell ourselves.
May God grant me clarity of mind to pray and communicate to those assisting me at my weakest my appreciation for their assistance, love, prayers, kindness, compassion, and fellowship.
May God use me to help encourage them in kindness and love until he calls me to other side.
Hello leelou
I understand your worries and anxiety over this. I think about it as well at times. Do you belong to a Church? any social groups? You may want to start talking to folks about your concerns. You never know who has connections to people who could be hired to assist you or even themselves. I know people at my Church who are nurses aides, LPNs etc and at times look for extra income by assisting other people. It doesn’t hurt to ask. If you are a member of AARP, call them as they have a lot of ideas and resources to give you ideas.
