themurfs, it seems like you would be scheduled with an oncologist. You might call scheduling and ask if you could be scheduled with a radiation oncologist. It's better if you find one first. Dr Yu is a radiation oncologist specializing in proton. I was able to schedule a zoom appointment from California because he has a California license. He seems to be a really good doctor.
Any Mayo commenters out there with experience at Scottsdale Mayo with a radiation oncologist you could recommend, please weigh in for the Murfs.
If you decide to have treatment at Mayo you may be in for a long visit in Scottsdale. Yes, it's beautiful, but can be expensive with flights and hotels.

Now that you mention it, I think my husband was told that we could do a zoom call but this would have to be with someone licensed in Oregon, but he was a urologist. He had in person options as well but they were all with urologists. This does seem odd to me???
