I noticed a comment, and I cannot find it again, but someone was asking about pro venting growth of aortic aneurysms. Mentioned the calcium CT showed my aortic root dilation at 4.9. The echo cardio performed a month later measured it at 4.4.. not sure what to think about that discrepancy, although echoes are more precise than a CT. One year, my aortic route was normal this was prior to getting a pacemaker implanted to address low heart rate at 32 low averaging high 40s. Between receiving the calcium CT score and the echo I found what I’m told is one of the best aortic surgeons in the state. He shared with me that he has patience that were diagnosed with a 4.4 and it did not grow after decades however, the norm is eventually you’ll require surgery. He also put me on beta blocker indicating this would help alleviate some of the pressure on my aortic route when exercising and also regular activity. I am five 10 1/2 at 2:10 pounds avid mountain biker and weight, lifting lighter weights more wraps. He okayed me to continue to do both suggesting to make sure I am breathing correctly and avoiding heavy heavy weights. As mentioned I am 62. I’m not sure if this helps anybody but thought I would share that information. My question has to do with the pacemaker does anybody have experience or an opinion about the possibility, adding a pacemaker, keeping my heart rate at a minimum of 60 could have caused my 4.4 cm aortic root dilation?
You can break your sugar addiction... (and I think you have to or this or other things will not end well) you don't say what your A1C is or your fasting glucose number is. Sounds like you're working out enough to keep body fat in check. But sugar does a lot more than make us fat. I would strongly encourage you to explore that issue more deeply and take the sugar addiction more seriously.
