@shellejo, I know that is little comfort. Metastasis sounds awful, but they know your cancer type and how it responds to treatment. That is helpful. Do you know what treatment is being suggested next?

Hello @shellejo. I have metastatic SCC but origin was in my ear canal. Over 12 years now I have had 2 lung mets and a subQ SCC removed surgically. The last met to my kidney and surrounding lymph nodes in 2020 has been treated by an immunotherapy drug, Cemiplimab. It took over a year but all signs of mets are gone. I have been off of it for almost a year now and still clear on last scan in February. There were side effects but it was quite tolerable. There are new immunotherapies being approved regularly and we just need to keep after our cancers as these new treatments become available. Since mine is Head and Neck, I am not knowledgable about anal SCC treatments but just wanted to give you a bit of hope. Has your medical team mentioned an Immunotherapy?
