I am recovering from surgery on a bone spur that grew into my throat causing Dysphasgia. The bone spur was caused by DISH, a disease I now live with. It's been 3 weeks since the surgery and I am healing well and increasing my ability to swollow. Before the surgery the Dysphasgia caused me to lose a lot of weight. I am still weak but as I eat better my strength is coming back. It is a tough surgery so you'll have to weigh the benefits. So far I am glad I did it.

Well. There are two entries today for somebody having bone spur removed from their throat area. As I told the other person I have read of this happening, but I have never had anybody talk about it.
She seems maybe a little further on after surgery than you, but make sure you go read what she said, and have a good team to help you get back to bit more of a normal life. This disease is an awful disease, but we are all living with it and having to make adjustments to take care of it.

I’m glad that you feel like you’re getting stronger and I hope you continue doing so.🙏

What does DISH stand for? Thanks.
