Hi We have 2 large dogs we will be bringing with us for my husband's upcoming Mayo visit in Rochester. I'm looking for a place to stay with them where we can also easily access daily walks and a freezer/fridge would be a bonus. Cleanliness and easy access to Mayo is a huge plus.

Hello @bano. You might find an airbnb more suitable and closer to Mayo campus. We often stay at a Home2Suites but it is not walking distance to Mayo, just a short 7-10 minute drive. It sits along the Zumbro river with a nice walking path. Full size refrigerator/freezer in kitchenette. Not sure if there is a size limit for dogs but they are there frequently. Also near Soldiers Field golf course where you can walk dogs in off season.

Welcome to Connect.
You may want to contact Concierge services for assistance, they may have recommendations for dog friendly hotels. For more information, see:

I also suggest contacting hotel directly about their policies; specifically breed, number of dogs, size, charges and if require kennels if dogs are left in room unattended. I have seen hotels advertise as "Pet Friendly" and when I go to check in their policy were different then advertised on their corporate online page.

I stayed at the LaQuinta in Rochester, and it’s pet friendly. When I was there, the rooms had a fridge (freezer was tiny) and microwave. There’s a Mayo Clinic shuttle, and it was really close. As for walks, since your dogs are large…it’s more of a strip mall type of area (I remember it being across from a movie theatre?), so not the most scenic, but there would be space in the parking lots. I don’t quite remember because I was there in snow-covered February and not outside much!

I had a positive experience there.

Welcome @bano, I moved your question to this existing discussion. @jac08 asked the same question in this discussion and got many helpful tips in addition to the suggestions from @roch @sepdvm and @emo.
