Lumbar injections

@empresskristine

I will never get an ESI in a disc again. I have adhesive arachnoiditis from a dura cut (not a tear) which leaked CSF fluid into an abscess.
Nobody in Connecticut treats AA. I sent my CD of mri scans to Dr Tennant in California for a diagnosis.
Corrupt Connecticut has zero accountability for the faux pas during these surgeries while they use ESI as blackmail to get a surgery.

@empresskristine I wanted to welcome you to Connect. I'm sorry that your experience in spine care didn't lend positive results, but hearing your story is valuable to others who are considering similar treatment. I have had one spinal injection that caused a bad reaction and I think I was allergic to a component in the injection such as polyethylene glycol or PEG, and that probably caused some inflammation. I only figured that out after a Covid Vaccination containing PEG caused an allergic type reaction.

As patients we do have to advocate for ourselves and question the risks when we consent to medical procedures. I will not have more spine injections. I am a cervical spine surgery patient. Thank you for joining the conversation.
