Has anyone looked into the claims of Dr. Jayson Calton regarding micronutrients and osteoporosis? The claim is that his wife had severe osteoporosis at the age of 30 and together they reversed it. I'm such a skeptic of all these "experts" on osteoporosis. I have osteoporosis and last spine TBS report shows -3.9 to -4.2 in lumbar region. Unfortunately, my osteoporosis is from taking Letrozole (Femara) for ovarian cancer.

I sure share your skepticism regarding "experts." It's impossible to find a universal opinion on anything and I feel like I'm throwing darts as I find just as many opinions supporting one opinion as I find against that same opinion. I'll follow your post and see what others have to say. I trust people in this group more than I trust physicians.

I am so sorry for your difficulties. If it is any comfort, my spine, wrist, and hip are worse and my situation is also complicated, so I am a skeptic. Even is the advice is good, which I doubt, I am not sure it would apply to me. I would particularly be suspicious of anyone selling anything as a remedy. We don't really have any proof of who the are or the results of their protocols. I see a lot of people mentioning taking a supplement that has improved their DEXA scores. Usually it contains strontium, a mineral that is denser than calcium that will make your bones look stronger on a DEXA scan, but there is no proof that it reduces the risk of fractures. If you read up on it and want to take it, it is easy to find and cheap to buy on line. I would not. Density is not the only measure of strength. Who knows if using strontium to increase density will lead to more brittle bones? I am just guessing, I don't know what this guy is saying but I have seen similar videos.
