Is the Normal like subtype the same as the No Special Type one?

Sorry but I don't understand your question. Maybe someone else does.

I think what your referring to invasive carcinoma of no special type (NST). This group of breast cancers comprises all tumors WITHOUT the specific differentiating features that characterize the other categories of breast cancers. It is a classification based on exclusion. If not any other subcategory, then it is "No Specific Type".

There are different type of Invasive carcinoma that have unique characteristics that allows them to be further classified. And example would be Invasive lobular breast cancer
Not sure if they are called "normal"

This classification is based on the pathology report from biopsy or surgery.

Not sure if that answers your question.

One of the rare subtypes of the apocrine triple negative breast cancers is the Normal-type.
Is this the same as the so called No Specific Features type?

This really feels like an “ask your doctor” kind of question. I would hate to see that on a pathology report if there wasn’t a lot more information. That would be very distressing to me. If I did not have an upcoming appointment, I would call and leave a message for my doctor or oncology nurse asking for more information about my type of cancer. Unfortunately we are all just patients that can share our stories but we are not doctors to be able to answer this. We are here to support you and learn with you.❤️
Do you have an upcoming appointment with your doctor to discuss your cancer and/or a treatment plan?
