I have had nail ridges for many years probably before pmr was diagnosed. Thumb nails are the worst.I also have a problem with nail splitting sometimes.

Yep ... I have nail ridges too. I just thought they were normal for me. Are they supposed to be smooth? My nails often break and/or split too. I think they get too long and it is time to trim them shorter. I don't like it when a broken nail catches on something because that really hurts.
