Hi @joyfl2, I was in a heart study for high blood pressure and hypertension at Mayo Clinic/St. Mary's Hospital back in late 80s and at the time I think I was taking Enalapril or Lisinopril and HCTZ for BP at the time. The result of participating in the study found that my diagnosis changed to Hypertension, secondary to primary aldosteronism and I was switched to Spironolactone and Hydrochlorothiazide. My BP has stayed pretty well under control since then.
I have a home BP device and take my BP most every morning and it's within the OK range for an octogenarian, normally averages to 127/76. I took the BP monitor along with me to an appointment with my PCP to check the results vs the readings taken at doctor visits and they line up pretty close.
