I really don’t know, but the Biofreeze takes away the burning for about two hours. I use it 3 or four times a day. It’s a roll-on.
Yes it is similar. I use the lidocaine patch at night before bedtime so I could sleep not that I sleep great but at least I’m not in pain.

There are a bunch. I’ve used Salon Pas and @babs1956 mentioned BioFreeze. One is Lidocaine to numb it. They do help.
