Have Avascular Necrosis - Need THA - What Approach is best?

I have bilateral AVN and I am planning to get my right hip replaced but not sure which surgeon to go to or what implant to use and also approach.

I read a lot of comments about anterior approach. I wanted to get anterior approach done at Mayo clinic but after reading others story I am little worried.
Please suggest.

@aastha0993 My nephew had this in both hips, and had successful replacements two years apart.
Here is what I know, both from being a hip patient myself, and from his experiences. First, not every orthopedic surgeon handles these cases, so you will need to find one who does. Mayo would definitely be a good place to start your search.
Second, complex surgeries often require the posterior approach, as they give the surgeon a better field of view when determining how much bone is affected, and in putting the stem into the femur.
Finally, I know many believe the anterior approach is "better" but each method has its own place in the world of orthopedics.

Thanks for your reply. Yea I had consulted a doctor in Mayo and he suggested direct anterior approach. But I am from India and doctors in India and suggesting wither posterior or lateral approach. So I little confused which one to choose or on what grounds should I select my surgeon.

I suggest that you select a surgeon who has operated on as many people with Avascular Necrosis as possible. And if there are any measures available to you, choose one using a top rated facility with a very low infection rate, as post-operative infection is devastating to implants. Then let the experienced surgeon guide your choice of approach.
