Yes- this happened to me and I was 61 at the time. I had precancerous cells in my 20’s that were frozen off 2X then nothing till 40 years later.
My result after biopsy was a later stage of cancer stage 3 and fast growing Squamish cell cancer.
It had gotten into lymph nodes
I had regular Pap smears all through these 40 past years and nothing.
Needless to say I had surgery ,chemo & radiation. I am in my 5th year of negative Pet scans.
Im happy to hear yours sounds like a different story and glad it was the slow growing. Good luck and prayers.

Good Gawd how does that happen?? I thought vaginal cancers didn’t tend to be aggressive growers?? And why didn’t Pap detect it?
