Osteoporosis medications and neuropathy

I have peripheral which at the moment is pretty quiet except for electric shocks at night. I was just diagnosed with osteoporosis. I’m scared of the meds, but scared to fracture. I hadn’t, however, really thought about whether the bone meds would cause my pn to flare up. I did ok with 4 Covid shots through fall 2022 but had a flare up of my neuropathy one year ago so I don’t know if I want to risk any more shots. I can’t say I’m glad others are in the same boat because it stinks. But maybe I can say its helpful to know others are dealing with similar issues.

I have terrible PN and it is working it's way up my feet and arms. I have tried Gabapentin. Pregabalin, and Duloxetine, and the last one ended up with me in the ICU at the VA med Center here in Grand Junction, CO.
I had terrible reaction to all three. I now think this all may be part of a "leaky gut syndrome. and hope to find a great probiotic. So hard these days when everyone has an opine and send in your $39.95 for the cure if you buy 6 bottles for a lower price and the old standard guarantee of 60 days or 6 hours whichever some first and some do not return your money. It’s very difficult to make a decision when there are no definitive answers. I cannot, with any certainty, safely take any more Covid vaccines. Ultimately, I think we just have to try to weigh the pros and cons of the osteoporosis meds vs the risk of fracture with the information available to us. Good luck to you.

Me too been on both for a few years Gabapentin for nerve pain doesn't help much with the neuropathy mine it did improve after I started taking the metabolic prepared L-Folate to process B vitamins my levels of B6 and B12 were off the charts high because I have a gene that lacks the enzyme to process B6 and B12 so I had B vitamin toxicity which ironically has the same symptoms as low B12.
