Kim, I have not had your experience, but, I am familiar with uti's. hope the following helps:
1) Stay hydrated.
2) Cranberry juice or Azo Cranberry tablets & D-Mannose supplement as a preventative.
3) Being sedentary can bring on a uti, so stay as active as possible.
4) We are more prone to UTI's as we age.
5) Having bouts of diarrhea can bring on a uti.

I hope some of these help. Praying for you. They are tiring and painful.

I get utis but I drink lots of water and had a cysto scope last week to make sure my bladder is clear of cancer. I had breast cancer and endometrial cancer. Had hysterectomy and lump ectomy of breast. Always watching. Have RA too. Just keep moving forward and have blood tests every month to check liver and kidneys. All is good so far. I am on methetrixate, plyquenil and folic acid for RA. So far it is controlling my RA. I work out and keep moving. Lots of water and cranberry juice.

Get a bidet seat. It fits right on the toilet.

Most of these drugs prescribed--statins, antibiotics, blood thinners and more--are compounded with lactose monhydrate. More than 60 percent of the population no longer have the lactase enzyme to break down lactose.
Typically, you end up with diarrhea and the germs within.
