Interesting! I read that estriol is the form that women got during pregnancy, so generally it's not really used for menopausal related issue. Does your physician use it for some particular reason?
May I ask if you are 10 year out from menopausal? If so, what did your doc think about initiating therapy this late in post menopausal? Did your doc use CTX to monitor HRT therapy?
Do you mind sharing the reason of adding testosterone into the HRT mix?
Two of my doctors like to add Estriol to the mix. It is a weaker estrogen, supported by some Japanese studies for overall health-heart, brain, bones, etc. but doesn’t help vasomotor symptoms as much, which I’ve never had. I was 13 years past hysterectomy and removal of one ovary and four years past removal of last ovary, which I think had ceased functioning two years prior to beginning hrt. I use NTX serum and urine and P1NP to monitor. We will also use a 24 hr. Urine from Rhine Labs to monitor hormone levels rather than just serum. But, I will also look at serum hormone levels. All approved by oncologist, cardiologist, endocrinologist, but prescribed by Obgyn and functional med dr. Hope that helps!

And, I forgot to answer the testosterone part of your question-super low dose, in my case because I don’t have ovaries. But, they use anyway for many patients to improve muscle strength and think it will help bone some as well. Muscles, etc. also weaken, I’ve torn two muscles doing gentle exercises!
that is so sad. These prices are outrageous and people, like you, who need them can't always take them. You can get one discount if you are on private insurance, but Medicare? No - that makes no sense. The people who probably need it the very most are on Medicare and many have fixed incomes. That system is infuriating.

I’ve had no side effects so far. In my 3 rd month of taking it.
It has gotten cheaper. Thank you for the discussion. I think it’s beneficial for people to compare experiences.

What has gotten cheaper? thanks.
The cost of Forteo. Believe it or not it’s less expensive than it was 2 years ago.
Please google Lily Care Foundation. You may be able to get it free.
I did. I'm ineligible by a few dollars.
Wow, hard to imagine.
