My DCIS was listed as “extensive, grade 2” and measured 3cm (surgeon took out about the size of a Lemon).
I did 4 weeks of radiation- 15 regular treatments and then 5 treatments of a “boost.”
So sounds like 4-5 weeks is pretty typical…?

I also had DCIS and even though margins were clear, one spot was only 1 mm and they want 2 mm. I had 16 treatments for whole breast and 5 that were targeted to the small margin area.
