My anterior right hip replacement is now seven months out. I had a good recovery and went to PT for a few months after.
Recently, I have developed pain in my right thigh. For the most part, my thigh has been numb from hip to knee. I’m wondering if this new pain is the thigh waking up? If so, is the leg pain permanent?

Unfortunately, my experience is identical to yours. I am currently three years postop, and I still have thigh pain. And the pain is mostly controllable through the use of Tylenol, gabapentin, Cymbalta,. My doctors believe that I have nerve damage which will likely be with me forever. On a positive note, I still have a fairly active lifestyle, including swimming, walking and bike riding. I sincerely hope that your circumstances improve as mine has over the years.
