I understand. I tapered off Klonopin last fall, only because of my decade long search for a pain medication. I've tried dozens of things that others swear by, including all 5 of my siblings, for neuropathy pain. Since the only medication that has helped for longer than a few weeks is MS Contin, it's almost time to go back to it. I stopped taking it to try 3 other medications - buprenorphine, Topamax and low dose Naltrexone. I'm giving the 3rd one 3 months before I give up and go back to opioids.

So, I'm not taking any anxiety medication now, and I feel the loss. But if I weren't looking at an opioid, I think it wouldn't be a problem with my doctors to restart Klonopin or some other medication. If you have seen a psychiatrist, I can't imagine that they would refuse to prescribe something for you.

Take care.

Jim

I did try seeing a psychiatrist and they only prescription she gave me was "join a church." Seriously. And when I told her I'm an atheist, she frowned and took a step back from me. Again, seriously. Unfortunately, I live in an area which is much like living in the 19th century.
