Options other than transection of rectum
My husband recently had colonoscopy to remove a large polyp from rectum. 6 cm . It contained a cancer tumour that grew 3 cm into rectal wall. Resection was recommended with a very large portion of the rectum to be removed. Radiation and chemotherapy was not given as an option. Has anyone received the either therapy as an option prior to removal? Please advise.

Question thru all this chemo & radation have folks lost their hair. Really don't want to be bald am a female 74 and hair that barely grows
I have very thick hair and my hair thinned out a lot. I never lost all of it, it just was thin at the top of my head.
I’m like Lisa. My hair got very thin on top, but never bald. I used a very gentle shampoo made for chemo hair, and conditioned well so it wouldn’t be flyaway.
I was told that the FOLFOX drugs would not make me lose my hair, but it would thin.
