I assume you melt the coconut oil or do you let it soften in your hands? This is all new to me.

Just melt a small dab in your hand. It melts quickly. Only use on the outside.

I try not to let it melt in my hands. It melts very quickly and is messy. I apply it as fast as I can. It works and can’t harm you. When our electricity went out last summer, the coconut oil was totally liquified.
