I've been on the Big 3 since 9/22 for NTM MAC and started Arikayce 7/23.
My experience with the side effects which I have tolerated but still worry about my voice changes and will it ever return to normal. They seem to be getting worse. A chronic cough has returned which is becoming increasingly harsh. I also developed white patches on my vocal cords discovered in 11/23 which have not yet gone away.
The good news is that I converted to being negative for MAC one month later and have had 4 negative cultures since 8/23. I have told my ID Doc about my worries and he will follow all closely. He also suggested I nebulize Albuterol before the Arikayce and continue the regimen until 8/24.
